Hoi An
HoiAn was my favourite place and I would gladly go back again and I would even probably stay at the same place - Vinh Hung Resort. I liked the atmosphere at Hoi An and at the Vinh Hung Resort. I liked the stroll along and across the canal every day and I liked to walk around the town. There is much I didn't see this time - I didn't even get to the beach.
Tailors
If I was to get more suits and shirts made I would go to the Cloth Market and to Yaly Couture. The Cloth Market is cheap and fairly good quality but if you want to try things on then you have to do it in the open. Yaly Couture is a little bit more expensive with better service.
I bought a suit from Thu Thuy but they were a lot more expensive than Yaly Couture.
There are plenty of restaurants at Hoi An and most are either inexpensive or reasonably priced. You pay a fair price at the Vinh Hung Resort but the food and service is excellent.
How to get there
Hoi An is about a 40 minute taxi ride South of Da Nang. You can fly from Saigon or Hanoi to Danang on Vietnam Airlines. You can also fly to Da Nang from Thailand and Cambodia.
